Management: It's all about people. We seek entrepreneurs and technologists who have the innovation, talent, commitment and drive to build successful world-class enterprises. Key qualities include relevant industry experience, a depth of knowledge, a sound understanding of strategic issues, a collaborative approach, unqualified commitment, absolute integrity and the will to win.

Competitive Advantage: To provide for a lasting advantage in competitive markets, differentiation is essential. We target companies that can create and sustain a significant competitive advantage - this could reside in its intellectual property, technical know-how, market knowledge, or business strategy.

Attractive Market: We target companies that are addressing worldwide markets which are large enough to allow the portfolio company to grow to a significant size, and ultimately allow for worthwhile liquidity options. Companies should have a realistic opportunity to become the leader in their market.

Stage: Ventures West primarily focuses on early stage companies looking for
their seed or Series A round.

Exit Potential: We look for companies with a reasonable chance of a profitable exit within 4-6 years.
