Thomas Mino joins Board of SiXtron - Seasoned technology executive joins Board of leading solar startup

Montreal, QC – July 9, 2008 – SiXtron, a developer of thin film coatings for solar cells, announced today that Thomas D. Mino has joined the company’s Board of Directors.

 
Mino brings to SiXtron more than 30 years of business experience in manufacturing, marketing, sales and general management of semiconductor and optoelectronic components. Mino most recently served as CEO of Lumera Corporation, a polymer-based optoelectronics company which he founded and ultimately led to an IPO on Nasdaq. Prior to that he was general manager of optical components supplier Agere Systems' high-speed long haul business unit (formerly Lucent Technology Optoelectronics Unit) where he was responsible for the development and sales of products with revenues in excess of $600 million. Mino has also held senior management positions at AT&T, Honeywell, Synergy Semiconductor, and ATMEL.
